About the Author Lucy Kyan

Through an obsession with pirates, author Lucy Kyan first began creating fantasy worlds and characters in her early teens. She spent endless hours writing poems, drawing maps, memorizing flags and imagining sword fights. Later on in life, she took up fencing, and nourished her fantasy world by dream journaling for many years. In her quest to explore more worlds, she studied mythology, history and political science, and graduated from law school. She then entered the world of corporate law where she practiced as an attorney for over a decade. She lives in Canada with her family and their adorable puppy.
